This is the life most people lead. I’m talking about more than 90% of the people. This how most people make a mesh out of their life.

The boy is schooling or he is studying. One day he starts working. That is how it always is. The money he makes is peanuts.

He does not mind. Because they told him. Later you’ll get the big money. It just takes time. It is an empty promise by he takes that promise.

What is he doing as he starts working? He works in a job that his parents told him to take. Daddy had a job like that.

OK. He works. He makes money. But he wants a car. No problem. Look at the money he gets. He buys a car on installments.

He buys the biggest car he can get. Almost all the money he makes is used to pay the installments. That’s all right. Look at the car he has.

The boy meets a girl. He is very much in love. He marries the girl. Now they need a house. You know what? Let’s buy a house.

Don’t they say a house is an asset? You can make a lot of money with a house. So buying a house is a good idea. Go for it.

One problem. Money. The boy bought a car. He is using a big part of his salary to pay the installments. How to pay the down payment?

Well. There is the girl. She saved some money. We can sue her money. His parents and her parents. Very good. They lend them money.

The boy and the girl now live in their own house. Yeah. It isn’t easy. But they can pay for the house. They can pay the bank.

The car is a big expense. But what can be done about it? Sell it? Selling the car doesn’t bring enough to pay off the loan.

Wow. The girl is pregnant. They will have their baby. The girl keeps on working until delivery. They need the money.

The baby is born. The girl is on maternity leave. She cannot quit her job. She needs the money to make ends meet. She starts working again.

The baby? The baby is left at the house of the parents during the day. At night the girls picks the bay up again. Very good. They manage.

That wasn’t very clear. As the girl was pregnant everybody was happy. Not he baby is born. Now they see. A baby is very expensive.

The boy is a young man now. He must see that he makes more money. How can he make more money? Promotion? Other job?

Finding another job that gives him more money. That is not really an option. He stays in his job. He looks fro promotion.

Very bad. The young man is now participating the rat race. He is making his colleagues look bad. That will increase his chances of promotion.

The young man is in his forties now. His thinking about his job. He doesn’t like his job no more. Working in his job only gives him frustrations.

But what can he do? Find another job? Forget it. He needs his money to pay for his living expenses and to pay for the house.

There is nothing the young man can do. He cannot quit his job and start something new. He is frustrated and he keeps on working.

The young man is lucky. Frustrations often are the cause of serious illnesses. Cancer is the number one illness that may occur.

But the young man survives. He doesn’t get sick. In fact. He reaches retirement age. He retires. He stops working.

Oh. With all these debts. There was paying the bank loan for the house. There were other debts. No money was saved.

It is no longer the young man. It is now the old man. The old man is retired buy the old man has no money. He depends on his children.

A lot of people die within five years of retirement. I’m not saying that that should happen to the old man. But if it happens…
